How Places works: cities, places, locals and events

Places is Loqva for the real world: every country, region, city and town on Planet Earth already has a page, and so do thousands of parks, trails, museums and landmarks.

Your city is already here

Search for any city or town on Places and open its page. Nobody has to create it — the first post makes it a community.

Post about a place from anywhere

Writing in Hiking, Food or Tech about somewhere specific? Use “Where is this about?” when you post. It shows in that community and on the city's page, and on the place's page if you pick one. A city's By topic tab gathers everything about it from all over Loqva.

Places: public, fixed spots

• Parks, trails, beaches, landmarks, museums, libraries, civic buildings, transit.
• No homes or private addresses, ever. Businesses make a project and link it into their city.
• Missing one? Use Suggest a missing place — it can span cities or states, like a long trail.

Keep facts current

Each place lists facts like fees, dogs, parking and accessibility. If something's wrong, answer “Are these still right?” or Suggest a correction; the area's moderators check it.

Locals and events

• I'm local here (adults only) adds a Local chip to your posts there and can send you a few new questions asked in your city.
• Each city has an Events tab with what's coming up there.

Safety

Places is read-only for members under 18, so where they live stays private. Report anything that shows a private address.
